The 5th Annual Taste and Tour was Thursday, August 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Taste and Tour is a business “open house” where participants can “tour” local businesses while tasting samples of food and drinks. The event is FREE to attendees.
The Golden Valley Rotary Club's Taste & Tour of Golden Valley drew almost 500 people Thursday, August 1st. Attendees checked in, got a passport, and visited all the participating businesses to get their passports stamped. Then, they could enter in two drawings throughout the evening. Prizes included gift cards, floral arrangements, garden accessories, and jewelry. One event for attendees was the chance to dunk Golden Valley Mayor Shep Harris. A fundraiser for PRISM, the dunk tank raised $250 for the local nonprofit. The event itself raised more than $1,200 which will go back into the community through targeted giving.
